In August of 2010, Symantec purchased VeriSign Authentication Services and VeriSign SSL Certificates as well as the VeriSign Trust Seal service; Symantec is now offering each. As part of the transition, all VeriSign Product Names and branding will be affected.
Security and trust are essential to doing business online. Without a secure website and visible sign of online trust, consumers will be less likely to stay on your site and transact with you. The VeriSign seal is the most recognized trust mark on the Internet. Also, with April 2012's update, the Norton™ Secured Seal is seen up to 650 million times per day on more than 100,000 websites in 165 countries. Moreover, it shows in search results on enabled browsers as well as partner shopping sites and product review web pages.
This transition to the Norton™ Secured Seal comes as part of Symantec's acquisition of VeriSign Authentication Services and will require all Trust Services Partner Program members to update their sites.

Secure your site! SSL made EASY and AFFORDABLE!
SSL Certificates enable data encryption on the internet and allow data to be transmitted securely from a web server to a browser. With SSL, your website can use the https protocol and will display a padlock in end users web browsers to indicate the connection is secure.
Domain Validation certificates offer an economical and quick way to implement SSL to your website. Domain Validated certificates verify you own the domain, but do not perform any additional organization level validation.
Organization Validated SSL Certificates provide instant identity confirmation and reliable SSL protection for your website and business.
EV SSL is an Extended Validation Certificate, the highest class of SSL available today and gives more credibility and trust to your website compared to using an organization or domain validated SSL Certificate.
Extended Validation SSL activates the green address bar and displays your company or organization name in the browser address bar. These prominent visual security indicators let visitors know that extra steps were taken to confirm the site they are visiting, increasing user trust in your website and its credibility.
Wildcard SSL allows you to secure an unlimited number of subdomains on a single SSL certificate. It is a great solution for anyone who hosts or manages multiple sites or pages that exist on the same domain. The one-time cost of the certification covers you for additional subdomains you may add in the future.
